I am excited to announce that my first quilt pattern, The Kitchen Sink, is ready for testing. After going through copy editing with the wonderful Bryn Schut of Bryn Schut Edits, and further checking and double checking (so much checking) with my lovely spouse who is gracious enough to check things that I feel need to be checked, this train is at the next station: more checking!
Are you a quilter? Do you know a quilter? This pattern is a great stash buster. The main instructions are for a king size quilt, with modifications included for queen and twin sizes. However, the pattern is easily scalable, so if you are interested in testing but want to make a smaller version, we can work that out! I will reply personally to all signups. If you are even thinking about testing this pattern, I want to thank you in advance right now. Thank you!

I ask anyone who signs up to test this pattern to be willing to go through the pattern step-by-step and mark the heck out of it with notes, corrections, and suggestions. Don’t hold back! It is very important to me that the instructions in my final pattern are clear and easy to follow. This quilt is an intermediate level project, but I want the instructions to be just as clear for beginning quilters. The more constructive criticism given, the better! Each tester should make a quilt top from the pattern and supply a well-lit photograph, along with notes, by Wednesday April 28th. If you are interested in being a pattern tester but cannot test right now, please sign up anyway! You can indicate that you would be interested in testing in the future. I have more patterns in the works.
Pattern testers will of course receive a copy of the final pattern, in which they will all be mentioned and thanked. I will also share tester quilt tops on my social media and website with shoutouts. I know how much time and material goes into making quilts, and I hope that anyone who signs up to test this pattern has a lot of fun doing it! As a thank you for your generosity, time, and effort, I will send all testers a little thank-you gift upon receiving the final photo and notes, along with an offer of reciprocal pattern testing should you be a pattern designer yourself.
Excited for you!!! Great job!
Thanks Deedee!
